“That’s good,” the lady at the checkout said to me when she saw my haul. “You are eating healthy!” I was absurdly proud.
OK, yeah, there are some instant mashed potatoes there. But look at all that veggie goodness!
- Gallon of milk, regular $2.99, sale $2.50
- Betty Crocker mashed potatoes, three boxes, regular $2 each, sale 99 cents each, minus three doubled coupons for 35 cents off = 87 cents, or 29 cents each (there are two pouches per box! This is so cheap! Yay!)
- Fresh Express Green & Crisp salad, two bags, regular $2.99 each, sale 99 cents each = $1.98
- Fresh Express spinach, three bags, regular $2.99 each, sale 99 cents each = $2.97
- Baby carrots, two one-pound bags, regular $1.99 each, sale 99 cents each = $1.98
- Grape tomatoes, two one-pint containers, regular $3.99 each, sale 99 cents each = $1.98
God, I wish these prices were all the time, because I love me some fresh veggies with a passion. Anyway, total paid was $12.61, total saved was $23.62 or 66 percent. Hooray!
