Below, what I brought home today for $10.80 out of pocket: The monthly Unmentionable from Victoria’s Secret, shrouded in pink tissue paper to protect the innocent. A great big pile of library books on sewing, because I love the library and I think it’s completely wonderful that this free resource exists. Our library has free wi-fi and [...] “You saved $64.50,” the checkout guy said solemnly as he handed me my receipt. “This is why I say, you know how to shop.” This was my final Super Doubles trip this week. I know I say this every time, but I love Harris Teeter. Sometimes their receipts or emails ask you to take a survey, and I’m always all over that. Ten! Ten! I give everything a ten! Why yes, I do have some comments, and those comments are that your store rules! Anyway, Super Doubles is back, and [...] I must say that gift cards are pretty delightful. I went out to run some errands yesterday armed with a coupon for a free McDonald’s smoothie, a coupon for a Free Unmentionable from Victoria’s Secret, and about $8.50 in Rite Aid gift cards. This is what I came home with (minus the smoothie, which I drank [...] The cashier at HT today did not have a compliment for my mad coupon skillz. I was a bit saddened by this, but resolved to do better to earn her approval next time. The cat’s like, “Nothing to see here! I’m just a box of tea with the head of a cat! Move along!” Seconds after [...] Phase One of my most recent “get paid to buy Olay products” plan is complete! Today I got these in the mail: One is for $25, and the other is for $5. I believe I still have one more $5 gift card coming, plus a check for $20 from Olay. Rite Aid was kind enough to [...] Continuing my tradition of naming these posts according to the cashier’s comments upon checkout (two counts as a tradition, right?), I submit to you “Completely Awesome.” Today’s HT trip was so awesome, in fact, that I totally forgot to take a picture. (Also I was hungry and wanted to get right to making dinner.) So [...] “Almost 100 smacks” is how the cashier at Harris Teeter referred to the amount I saved. Specifically, “almost 100 smacks” in this case is $98.09, with an out-of-pocket cost of $74.94. As you might have guessed, Super Doubles are back! I went to Rite Aid on Sunday and bought three Olay Regenerist skin-care products. I love Olay Regenerist skin-care products. They make me feel as though it’s less obvious that I spent the better part of a decade chain-smoking Camel Lights under bright Texas sunshine.
